FOR BUSINESSES

WHY BOLDER WATERTOWN?

The Committee to Elect a Bolder Watertown was originally formed by a local small business owner because Watertown has not been moving in the right direction.  Watertown is not growing and not growing is not good for business.

There are many local small business owners who dream about growing their business.  Growing costs money.

Investing in your business is essentially investing in your future.  There are so many places a business owner can put his or her money.  The tough question is "where?"  And in Watertown, that is a REALLY TOUGH QUESTION!

In a town of 4205 people, being a successful business owner is very difficult.  It takes the friendliest customer service skills, the best networking opportunities, the most trustworthy employees and even a bit of luck.  Small business owners are some of the hardest working people on the planet.  And successful small business owners will do everything legal, moral and ethical to build their business.

Unfortunately, at some point you begin to realize the pool is only so big.  No matter how hard you work, you only have 4205 people.  Now, you have decisions to make.

Do you invest tens of thousands of dollars in your Watertown, MN based business?  Do you upgrade the facade?  Put money into landscaping?  Signage?  Making these improvements

is not only beneficial to your business, but it's also beneficial to the community.  These projects improve the aesthetics of the town.

But you could also invest tens of thousands of dollars into your business by expanding elsewhere.  Expanding into another community.  Expanding into a growing community.

You could even move into another community.  Afterall, it is YOUR money and it is YOUR future.

Bolder Watertown is not just about taxes.  A direct result of decreasing the tax burden by increasing the tax base is a growing community.  More people moving to town.  More people walking into your business.  More people putting their money into our local economy.  More opportunity for YOU to grow YOUR business.

Now, that is a scenario worthy of investing your hard earned money back into your business and back into the community.

That is a scenario for growth.

And that is a Bolder Watertown.
